Talks of interest rates cuts in Vietnam helped boost sentiment. We saw benchmark indices surge strongly on speculation that the State Bank of Vietnam may soon ease the country’s monetary policy as inflation continues to slow while the currency has remained relatively strong. Furthermore, numerous media reports of decreasing lending interest rate at some commercial banks fueled such belief that the bull may have some legs to it.
