VAMC exec: bad debts remain stable. The bad debt ratio of Vietnam’s banking system remains stable at roughly 6.0% overall, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dong, chairman of the Vietnam Asset Management Company or VAMC, told the state-run Thoi Bao Ngan Hang (Banking Times) newspaper on Monday. The VAMC executive cited the latest data from the State Bank of Vietnam reporting banking system NPL at 2.8% and non-performing loans sold to VAMC accounting for about 3% of the system’s total lending.
