After bouncing off technical support at its 150-day moving average of 658 in the first hour of trading on Wednesday, the VN-Index closed with a decent gain, clawing back about a third of yesterday's loss. Energy names, led by GAS (+2.2%) and PVD (+1.6%), were bolstered by higher Brent crude prices overnight and today in Asian trading while VNM (+1.2%) bounced off a five-month low in early trading to close in the green, despite lackluster Q4 results (see our note below).
