Trading slows down post-ETF rebalancing. Trading volume dropped 34% to 49m shares on the HOSE and 21% to 39m shares on the HNX on Monday after ETFs wrapped up their quarterly portfolio rebalancing last Friday. The VNI closed down 2.22 points to 479.14 with heavy- weights Bao Viet Holdings (BVH), Masan Group (MSN) and Vincom (VIC) knocking off 3 points from the index. The HNI loss 0.80 points to close at 61.26. Foreigners were net buyers on both exchanges with net inflow of VND65bn.
