VCSC Daily - CPI for October was up 0.36%

October CPI rose by 0.36%MoM, slow from last month of 0.82%MoM, while the CPI increased 21.59%YoY. Lower pork prices and gas prices along with falling oil prices resulted in the rate of price increasing slowing to the lowest level is August 2011. In October, a significant decline in pork prices led food categories to decrease by 0.49% MoM. Also, housing and building material categories dropped by 0.03% MoM, mainly driven by oil and gas prices.
