Our view: Both indices marked a winning session in terms of points but less in terms of liquidity. The VNI edged up for a second day by 3.35 points (+0.86%) closing at 395.12 while the HNI also managed a modest gain of 0.12% to close at 56.29. Liquidity remains very weak, though, with value squeezed by 11.8% on the HSX. On the HNX, trading value increased by 8.8% but mostly thanks to penny stocks, evidenced by much more remarkable volume increase at 26.6%.
