Market wrap: Banks lift VN-Index. The VN-Index closed up by four tenths of a percent on Friday. For the week, the index was down a half of a percent. Financial tickers had a particularly strong day. VCB (+2.8%) was the leading contributor to the gain as it hit a five-week high. BID (+2.1%), VPB (+2.2%) and CTG (+0.7%) also posted gains. One exception was TPB (-2.0%), which has fallen after hitting its all-time high this past Tuesday.
