After its strong performance last Friday, the VN-Index advanced again as it closed up seven tenths of a percent to hit a 16-month high on Monday. Investor optimism seems to have risen following the index surpassing 1,000 points in addition to reports of positive developments in US-China trade talks. Trading value on HOSE shot up to USD225.2mn, which is well above the one-month average of USD175.1mn.
