The VN-Index jumped 2.4% (+38.3 pts) on Wednesday to close the trading day at 1,631.9. Bank and real estate stocks primarily led the gain alongside large-caps in other sectors. Across the index, there were 260 gainers, 57 laggards, and 36 unchanged stocks. Total trading volume increased from the previous trading day to USD839.0mn.
* Banks TCB (+4.0%), VCB (+1.0%), MBB (+2.2%), VPB (+1.8%), and CTG (+1.4%) made up half of the top ten gainers lifting the index.
* VIC (+5.1%), VHM (+4.4%), VRE (+5.6%), and NVL (+6.9%) were among the real estate tickers posting strong gains.
* Consumer stocks were strong as retailer MWG (+3.2%), hospitality company VPL (+2.1%), milk producer VNM (+1.5%), food & beverage conglomerate MSN (+1.3%), and airline HVN (+4.2%).
* Notable gainers in other sectors included tech company FPT (+4.7%), steelmaker HPG (+1.5%), rubber producer GVR (+1.9%), industrials company GEE (+6.9%), and utility company GAS (+1.3%).
